GP Mean Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Farnham Road Practice in the last financial year was £44,560 before tax and national insurance. This is for 8 full time GPs, 14 part time GPs and 5 locums who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

The Practice is part of an active locality team working collaboratively to drive forward the NHS national and local agenda through innovative ideas and the use of modern technology to improve on access and increase the availability of primary care service delivery at the Practice and within the community.

An enthusiastic and committed Practice Nurse will be an asset in pursuing the aims of the Practice.

Minimum of 30 hours per week

We have a vacancy for a highly motivated, caring practice nurse to join our busy team. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, will be fully competent in core practice nursing duties and will ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:

 

  • diabetes (insulin initiation and medication reviews);
  • respiratory (use of spirometer and COPD/Asthma management);
  • minor illness triage and management; and
  • women’s health.

 

We will provide where necessary training in the areas above for the right candidate

 

You will be an effective communicator and problem solver, with a flexible approach and the ability to work well as a part of our team.

You will receive extensive continued professional development.

TRAVEL CLINICS

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to provide a Travel Clinic service.

We will however continue to give advice via the telephone and maintain booster vaccinations.
